Simple Wisdom Tip #106: Be a Lifelong Learner

The Roman scholar Cato reportedly started studying Greek when he was 83.  Someone asked why he tackled such a difficult subject at that point in his life.  “It’s the earliest age I have left,” said Cato, and he went right on studying.

Eric Hoffer said, “In times of change learners inherit the earth while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”

The moral here is clear:  Be a lifelong learner.  It makes you healthier, happier and wiser.
