About a year ago, a friend sent me a wonderful book, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer. It is about restructuring one’s life to slow down, focus on what’s really important, and stop hurrying through life. It is based on the life of Jesus who never seemed to be in a hurry and accomplished what He intended. One approach the book discusses is simplifying one’s life and reducing the clutter in our homes that so many of us struggle with. A year later, I went through the book again and typed up notes on the most salient ideas that particularly appealed to me. Now I am beginning to think through somewhat restructuring my life to move in Jesus’ direction. It’s going to be a fascinating journey.
